New Albany native Michael “Shane” Scott, DO, is a board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Internal Medicine & Pediatric Clinic in New Albany, Mississippi. Growing up in Union County, he enjoys taking care of families he has known for years as well as welcoming new ones. He takes pride in learning peoples “stories”, then framing their medical care in the context of the story. He is known for caring for pediatric patients with complex medical, psychological and educational challenges as well as supporting their families. He enjoys caring for routine and complex adult patients as well, in both the outpatient setting as well as the hospital.
Dr. Scott completed medical school at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, and his residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Tennessee at Memphis.
He has been practicing at Internal Medicine & Pediatric Clinic since 2004. He maintains his advanced credentialing and is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Internal Medicine.
When he’s not working, Dr. Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, traveling, watching college football, and participating in evangelical medical mission trips. He is currently accepting new patients, both adults and children.
