Welcome to IM&PC. Our highly skilled, caring staff will get to know you by name, understand your needs, and provide you with the highest quality care.

We take the time to listen to your concerns, addressing not only the physical issues of our patients, but healing the total body, including psychological and spiritual needs.

Patients are seen by appointment. Walk-in’s are also welcome. In house Lab, Xray, and routine immunizations are available.

Both Physicians admit patients to Baptist Hospital-Union County.

One of the best things about our clinic is our staff. We take the time to know you and your family by name. We strive to make you comfortable during your visit and listen to your concerns. Please do not hesitate to let one of our staff know should you need anything during your visit.

Shane Scott, DO

A native of New Albany, Dr. Scott completed medical school at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine followed by a residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Tennessee at Memphis. He has been in practice at IMPC since 2004. He enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, watching college football, traveling, and participating in evangelical medical mission trips. Dr. Scott is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Internal Medicine.


Eric Harding, MD

Dr. Harding attended medical school at Vanderbilt School of Medicine. He remained at Vanderbilt to complete his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. In 1995, he moved to New Albany with his family to begin his medical career. In 2003, he opened the Internal Medicine and Pediatric Clinic of New Albany. He enjoys spending time with his wife and four children fishing, hunting and water-skiing. Dr. Harding is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Internal Medicine.


Lauren Simpson, MD

Dr. Simpson graduated from Mississippi State University before attending medical school at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. She then completed residency in Pediatrics at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock. Dr. Simpson grew up near New Albany in Hickory Flat, MS and is excited to be back home to practice. She enjoys spending time with her husband and children and traveling. Dr. Simpson is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.


Matthew Rhinewalt, MD 

Dr. Rhinewalt graduated from Mississippi University for Women with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing prior to attending medical school at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine.  He completed residency training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and subspecialty fellowship training in Palliative Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  He enjoys spending time with his wife and son, as well as completing home improvement projects.  Dr. Rhinewalt is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Internal Medicine.    


Leanne Lewis, FNP-C 

Leanne attended University of Alabama at Birmingham where she received her Masters in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She enjoys spending time with her husband and family, traveling, and attending her home church. Leanne is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.


Terri Pounders, FNP-BC

Mrs. Pounders attended Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN where she received her Masters in Nursing. She then attended Mississippi University for Women, where she received her Post Masters Certificate in Family Practice to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. She began working in pediatrics in 2002. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, reading, gardening and traveling. Mrs. Pounders is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.


Kathleen E. Minga, PA-C

Katie was born and raised in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated from Midwestern University, Glendale, with a Masters in Medical Science Physician Assistant degree. She and her husband, Phillip, moved to Amory, MS, in 2016, where he grew up. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs, hiking, cooking, and most of all traveling as much and as far as she can! She is an active member of her church and hopes to participate in a medical mission one day. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
